A Brief History..............
Welcome to The Crimble incorporating the Conservatory Restaurant and the Peacock Room.
As far as can be traced back, Crimble Cottage was originally a farmhouse in the 17th Century and was rebuilt in 1814 by Joseph Fenton of Bamford Hall. The further addition of a dining block was added sometime between 1814 and 1863. In 1863 a barn and stables was added as a coach house. The original building of Crimble Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in Crimble, the old name for this particular area. It is older than Crimble Hall, which has long since been demolished.
Crimble Cottage was extensively renovated in the style of the day in 1936. It remained structurally unchanged until 1986, when the Conservatory and Courtyard restaurants were built onto the side and rear. The main core of the house still remains, though the stables and coach house were demolished.
Since taking over in 1996, Decker’s Restaurants have extensively refurbished in various phases up to now and the beautiful restaurant you now find yourself in.
The staff and management extend the warmest greeting to you and have great pride in what is being achieved here.
Enjoy your meal!
Thank You
