Trafford Water Sports Centre is situated on a 45-acre lake with great access from the M60 Motorway. With fantastic catering facilities and some of the best scenery in Manchester we are sure that you will have a great day out.

We are continually trying to improve the centre and facilities we can offer so we are continually updating our fleet of equipment such as the new Laser Bahia as well as a new fleet of windsurf boards. ACCREDITATIONS

The Royal Yachting Association is the UK’s governing body for all power and sailing related activities. As an R.Y.A. recognised centre we meet or exceed recommended standards for safety, equipment, instruction, on shore facilities and instructor to pupil ratios. The centre is subject to an independent inspection each year.

Trafford Water Sports Centre is recognised to teach courses in dinghy sailing, windsurfing and powerboating. Safety is paramount, so all our instructors are fully qualified and at least one safety boat is always on standby.

The British Canoe Union is the governing body of the sport of canoeing in the United Kingdom. Trafford Water Sports Centre is also recognised by the B.C.U to teach kayaking and canoeing. Again the B.C.U. lays down exacting standards with regard to types of boats used, clothing, buoyancy aids, safety procedures and instructor to pupil ratios. The centre recognition is subject to an annual inspection.

In 1996 it became a legal requirement under The Activity Centres (Young Persons Safety) Act 1995 for providers of certain adventure activities to undergo inspections of safety management systems and become registered as licensed. This licensing scheme only applies to those who offer activities in a commercial manner. Trafford Water Sports Centre holds a license for all of the activities covered by this legislation that take part on site. Once again we are inspected on a regular basis.

RESTAURANTS

Deckers always aim to provide our customers with the best food and drink available. The restaurant provides a luxurious, smart and stylish interior whilst retaining the relaxed atmosphere that Deckers is famous for.

The Deckers menu concentrates on traditional English food but our daily specials list allows us to offer choices to tempt any palate.

Overlooking the lake, the restaurant benefits from one of the finest views in the area. Bar snacks are also available in our public bar if you want a lighter meal of perhaps just a sandwich.
