At Trafford Water Sports Centre we offer a variety of training courses aimed at power boaters needs, whether it be the basic two-day boat-handling course, the night navigation of the advanced course. We can offer you the best possible training.
RYA Powerboat Level 2
The popularity of this course has boomed over the last 12 months, this two day course covers basic boat handling and theory and is the standard required for the inland version of the ICC, with more people attending the course with a view to gaining the ICC we have now incorporated the CEVNI assessment into the course.

Safety Boat
This the most demanding of all the powerboating courses, you will be taught how to rescue craft large and small in a variety of difficult situations. This course was designed for rescue boat coxswains in sailing clubs and is the benchmark for rescue boat coxswains at sailing centres also.

Personal Watercraft Proficiency Certificate
The RYA’s Personal Watercraft course is designed for first time and experienced riders alike. The certificate is normally required for launching in UK harbours, but is also needed if you want to use your PW abroad.By taking your course at Trafford Watersports Centre you can expect to be taught by an experienced, qualified instructor on a suitable PW with a maximum of three trainees.
The course teaches you how to use your PW safely, responsibly and with confidence, ensuring that you get the best out of your craft. It covers high and low speed riding skills, essential safety information, collision avoidance and orientation at sea.
This course teaches new drivers how to use their PW safely responsibly and with confidence ensuring they get the best out of their craft. To participate on this course you must use your own ski and produce a valid insurance certificate.
