Try Sailing

Ages 9+
Youths and adults together will experience the new and exciting Laser Funboats and the world famous Laser Picos in a fun but informative environment. Hands on experience will wet your appetite and give you a safe introduction to the world of dinghy sailing.

Youth Introduction to Sailing

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None. Ages 6 - 10
This course will allow a young person to be in charge of their own boat. Using the Laser Funboat this simple to operate, stable boat will inspire confidence in any aspiring sailor and to parents on the bankside.

Junior Stages 1 & 2

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None. Ages 9+
This aim of this course is to provide an introduction to sailing and will teach basic skills such as steering ability, ropework and boat preparation plus much more. By the end of this course we would hope that you would be able to sail competently in light winds as well as having the confidence to helm a dinghy single-handed.

Junior Stage 3 & 4

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None. Ages 9+

This course aims to develop sailing skills and build on what was learnt in the stage 1 & 2 sailing course. The course teaches rigging, launch & recovery, capsize and sailing around a triangle course in moderate conditions. Course participants will experience both helming and crewing our Laser Stratos or Topper Omega.
