COVID-19 UPDATE

In these uncertain times, we wanted to reach out to you to inform you of what we are doing at The Royal Toby Hotel and Restaurant to support you and your safety. As the situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can to ensure your safety and provide flexibility.

Your Safety

Your safety and security remain our highest priority. We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In response to coronavirus, we have taken additional measures to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous.

You may also notice changes in service style and approach, which are designed to further protect the safety of both our guests and our staff. We would ask you to work with our staff in ensuring that the measures we are taking are effective and still allow you to enjoy your time with us, these include:

  • Changes to table seating/layout and usage of public areas.
  • Changes to the menus
  • Increased sanitisation procedures
  • Use of card/apple/android payment only
  • Increased frequency of cleaning our public areas (including lobbies, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.)
  • Increased deployment of hand sanitizers.

Your Travel Flexibility

We remain committed to offering you flexible booking options. Given these unique circumstances we are making additional adjustments to our individual booking policies to give you extra peace of mind:

  • Existing Reservations. All reservations – even those described as “non-cancellable” (“Advanced Purchase”) – that are scheduled for arrival before April 30, 2020, can be transferred to an alternative date of your choosing prior to 30th September 2020 with no additional charge up to 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival.
  • New Reservations. Any reservation you make – even those described as “non-cancellable” (“Advanced Purchase”) – that are booked between today and April 30, 2020, for any future arrival date prior to 30th September 2020, can be transferred to an alternative date prior to the 30th September 2020 up to 72 hours before your scheduled arrival.

If you need to adjust reservations made online, please contact hotel reception 01706 861861 (1). This alteration of terms only applies to bookings made either on our own website or directly with our hotel reception team.

 

Restaurant Guests

Due to government advice, we have taken the decision to temporarily close our Italian Restaurant, Cenetta Ristorante from Monday 22nd March. We will keep you updated as to when we plan to reopen.

The Royal Toby Restaurant will remain open as usual and we will be offering a slightly reduced menu alongside our great value Early Dinner menu, which will be available at all times with the exception of Sunday lunch. We will also be limiting our bookings to ensure adequate spacing between guests.

Our Team will be on hand to look after you the way that you have come to expect over the years.

If you are unable to attend any future reservation and have paid a deposit, we will give you the option of transferring your deposit to a future date or to receive a gift voucher to the same value that will have an 18 month validity period.

Deckers Butchery

We would like to take this opportunity to make you aware of our online butchery platform. Deckers butchery was established in 1989. Our restaurants have always been renowned for their steak quality. Wedding and Event Bookings

We remain committed to all future wedding and event bookings. We are monitoring government advice and legislation as it is updated to ensure that we look after you and your guests to the highest possible standard.

If the Government legislate that we are unable to run your wedding, on the date that it is currently planned, we will honour a mutually agreeable wedding date transfer. We will obviously be flexible where possible as we fully appreciate the effort and time that this can take, we will also transfer any guest hotel bookings to the same date. We are more than willing to help and advise where possible.
